Ground floor 2 bedroom apartment in a renovated 1900s duplex, three blocks from Forsyth Park in downtown Savannah.
Sleeps 4. A king bed in the primary bedroom, a queen bed in the second bedroom, one bathroom with a walk-in shower, an open kitchen, dining and living area with a TV, and a washer and dryer inside the apartment.
What to know first: one assigned parking space (A) in the grassy area behind the building, no garage, plus free street parking out front. There are 3 short steps up to the front or back door. The upstairs apartment is a separate unit, so you may hear guests coming and going. No pets. Self check-in.
The Space:
The apartment is on the ground floor of a two unit duplex. Three short steps lead up to the front porch on Lorch Street, which is shared with the upstairs unit, or the back porch, which is private to this apartment. Enter through the door on the left, marked A. The apartment is on one level.
Living room: a long couch, wicker armchairs, a wood coffee table and a TV, open to the dining area and kitchen.
Kitchen and dining: a refrigerator with freezer, microwave, electric stove and oven, toaster, blender, a Keurig coffee machine with coffee, dishes, pots and pans, and wine glasses. A round dining table seats four.
Primary bedroom: a king bed with a 14 inch memory foam mattress, a woven headboard, a decorative fireplace and room darkening window coverings.
Second bedroom: a queen bed with a 14 inch memory foam mattress, with two woven benches at the foot of the bed.
Bathroom: one full bathroom with a walk-in shower, a vanity, an all in one hair and body wash, conditioner and a hair dryer.
Laundry: a stacked washer and dryer inside the apartment, free to use.
Comfort: central air conditioning and heating, ceiling fans, an iron, wifi and bed linens.

Guest Access:
You have the whole ground floor apartment, the private back porch and the shared front porch. One assigned parking space (A) in the grassy area behind the building comes with the apartment, there is no garage, and street parking is free across from the building.
Check in is 4:00 PM and check out is 10:00 AM. Self check-in with a smart lock that auto locks from the outside, with a backup deadbolt for extra security. Your door code and the check-in guide are sent through the guest app.
The upstairs apartment is a separate unit with its own guests. Please keep noise down and observe quiet hours from 8 PM to 8 AM. Events need to be cleared and coordinated with us first. We cannot store luggage before check in or after check out.
The Neighborhood:
Forsyth Park is three blocks away: turn right at the sidewalk, walk three blocks and you reach the fountain. The apartment sits in the middle of downtown Savannah, so cafes, bars, restaurants and groceries are a short walk.
Walk north along Whitaker Street through the squares to find local shops, coffee and quick bites. For a Southern meal, Mrs. Wilkes Boarding Room is close, and 700 Drayton and Crystal Beer Parlor are a short walk. River Street and City Market are about a 20 minute walk.
Getting Around:
Walking is the best way to see downtown. Uber and taxis are quick and inexpensive. The free DOT trolley stops about a block away and runs about every fifteen minutes to the Historic District.
Parking: one car fits in the assigned grassy area space (A) behind the building, and street parking out front is free. Check the street sweeping signs and move your car on sweeping days to avoid a ticket.
Other Things to Note:
Guests must be at least 21. Maximum 4 guests. No pets and no smoking indoors; smoking is allowed outside only in the designated spot. Service animals are welcome under ADA rules. Please keep shoes off inside.
This is an older building, so you may hear footsteps from upstairs and city sounds such as emergency and sanitation vehicles. Exterior security cameras are by the front door and the backyard and do not record private spaces.
Construction on the property next door is paused and quiet, and is not expected to resume for at least a year.
Savannah has palmetto bugs, wasps and other insects. The property is sprayed quarterly. Keep doors and windows shut, keep food at the dining table and put trash in the bin.

This apartment was a great find for our family’s overnight stay! It was spacious, well-maintained, and had all the amenities we needed. The only improvement I’d suggest is better water pressure in the shower. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay!
