About this apartment rental
This little apartment is very cozy and located on our lake front property with lots of privacy. Nestled into 5 acres on Long Lake in Harrison MI we call this a slice of heaven. Our lake offers excellent fishing, boating, canoeing and kayaking! We have two canoes and several kayaks and also have a paddle boat that carries 4 people. Life jackets are available for adults, however if you have small children, we recommend bringing a life jacket for them. Sporting equipment is available for everyone to share other than the pontoon is not available to guest! You also have your own gas grill, your own patio, shared fire-pit for bonfires with chairs.
Our home is located on an all sports lake so bring your boat. We require letting us know in advance if you are bringing your own boat, so that we can prepare. There's a pingpong table in the garage that is shared with owners! We also have a Corn Hole with bags for use along with Ladder Golf for our guests to use. There are local walking trails, 4X Advertureland with putt putt, go-karts, ice cream, escape room etc. We have a small quaint town that offers a fruit market with fresh veggies and fruit and local Michigan products along with amazing ice cream. There are several small restaurants, one medium size grocery store with an incredible meat market and then a much larger store south of town.
If you are staying with us for longer than a weekend and you want to venture out for a different change of pace we have several locations within 85-130 miles that would be worth a day trip. Mackinaw Island is 130 miles from our location. Traverse City is 85 miles, Petosky is 112 miles. Michigan is absolutely a beautiful state and our location is central located so that you can venture out and return home by evening.

My wife and I traveled to the area on Memorial Day weekend from South Florida for an engagement party. The space was perfect and clean. Maxine and Doug were wonderful hosts. My wife and I truly enjoyed the basket full of snacks and delicious homemade cookies. We hope to stay here again when we return next year for the wedding.

Doug and Maxine have exceeded expectations in crafting a tranquil and inviting haven that boasts tasteful decor, meticulous upkeep, and an authentic homely feel. Their extraordinary kindness and hospitality made us feel more like long-time friends than newcomers. We eagerly anticipate our next visit, which will surely extend beyond just a weekend. This was a perfect stay. The Guest House was cozy and equipped with everything that you needed for a stay at a home away from home. I have always been skeptical about staying in a "guest home" but this will definitely make me reconsider my options when booking in the future. Maxine is a rockstar host and communication was great. We felt very welcome throughout our entire stay. I highly recommend this property to future travelers as it definitely exceeded our expectations.
