About this house rental
A stunning 3100 Sq Ft custom log home with a dazzling ocean-like view of Lake Huron. You are just steps from the rocky shores surrounded by a towering evergreen forest.
Huge well-equipped kitchen and dining table seats 12, so great for cooking for large groups. The spacious living area, with its high ceilings and wall of windows for a panoramic lake view, is a captivating space for your gathering. Screened porch to enjoy your coffee and watch and hear the waves roll in.
Enjoy 400 ft. of private lakefront. Walk half a mile down the private gravel road surrounded by deep woods. Stargaze far from city lights, astronomy binoculars provided.
Bedroom 1 is ground floor large bedroom with lake view, queen bed, ensuite full bathroom, and porch. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are huge upstairs bedrooms with lake view, skylights, queen bed, second bed, couch, small table and chair, and private balcony. Bedroom 4 is small upstairs bedroom with two twin beds, low ceilings, and the only bedroom dark in the morning (no lake view so limited sunlight).
Fast Wi-Fi! Tons of workspace. Well suited to any type of group retreat.
Drive 10 minutes to public sandy beaches. Close to Les Cheneaux Islands, a kayaker's paradise. 45 minutes to Mackinaw Bridge. 20 minutes to Drummond Island ferry. Groceries are 15 minutes away in Cedarville.
ABSOLUTELY NO fires, firearms or fireworks allowed. This is a log home in the woods, fire department is at least 30 minutes out, we just can't take the risk inside or outside the house.
For us, it is a slice of heaven and we love to share it with others. But we want to make sure you will love it too. Here are some things about this house that are not for everyone:
--There are no curtains except in the bathrooms, so light comes in in the mornings and you may feel a lack of privacy (though no one is around).
--Like any house in the woods, you might see bugs or mice.
--Cell coverage will be less than 100%. US Cellular, T-Mobile, and Verizon generally work but AT&T has almost no signal.
--There is little sound privacy between the floors of the house. Bedroom 3 is above bedroom 1 so they can hear each other. Bedroom 2 is above the kitchen so they can hear each other too.
--Although there is a gorgeous fireplace, it is not functional and fires are strictly forbidden (both inside and outside).

The cabin was beautiful and had a ton of space for family to spread out! Views were great and the host was fantastic to communicate with. Stocked with everything you need to cook, games, and toys for the little ones. The lake front view was beautiful. Would recommend to anyone.

Amazing property on the lake. Tons of room inside to have your own private space. Some toys for the little kids and games for the family. The cleaners had a misunderstanding and had not finished everything up before we got there but after a quick call to the home owner the cleaners where on there way and the home owner went out of there way to make it right with us!

Beautiful! Relaxing! Rejuvenating! This cabin and area are fantastic if you are looking for beautiful surroundings and fresh air! We spent our days swimming, hiking, boating, sipping coffee on shore, etc.. if that's your thing, this place is it. Note: the listing said it sleeps 26, this is a typo. Thankfully it didn't effect our stay as we didn't need that many beds.
