The Starland District is the trendiest area of Savannah, loaded with all the best restaurants and bars. It is the neighborhood where locals come to eat and drink. This is an urban neighborhood, which includes people experiencing homelessness alongside upscale tourists, artists, musicians and professionals. Like many homes in Savannah, we are in close proximity to the freight train tracks. Savannah's infamous slow-moving train comes through a couple of times a day, sometimes in the early morning. It passes by quickly and does not bother the vast majority of visitors.
