Having stayed in Yarmouth a few years ago near the town, we were looking to stay somewhere a little quieter in an area I knew well from family holidays 20-30 years ago. This property hit the spot for this reason. 15 minutes walk from Yarmouth racecourse. Just a few minutes walk to nearest pub and also close access to Chinese takeaways and fish & chip shop. 10 minutes walk from Venetian waterways and beach. The property was very clean with everything needed. Fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. A nice outdoor seated area, big bedrooms one with on suite.

The property is in a terrace block. We expected a little noise, but somedays the neighbours were extremely noisy. Lots of shouting and swearing at children one side. We were also woken at 7.30 am on a Sunday morning with hammering and drilling. I understand these are family properties but I don’t expect that noise early on a Sunday morning. Parking can be an issue at busy times. We visited the theatre in Gorleston for a show one evening, on our return we had to park two streets away. The area feels safe however and there were no issues. Finally, the only real gripe were the two sofas in lounge that were extremely uncomfortable. These definitely need replacing.

The property was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Beds were very comfortable and it was very warm. We especially liked the personal touches, such as, we were there over the Christmas period and they had put up a Christmas tree and decoration. There was coffee, tea sugar and also milk in the fridge. And even a packet of biscuits. The property has a very well equipped kitchen as well. Excellent location. Would highly recommend and definitely will return.

Location is great in terms of having a Good Beer Guide pub just around the corner and an excellent chippie at the bottom of the street. It is however a long walk into town, albeit a pleasant and interesting one if you go through the old cemetery
