The Upper School House was an exceptional stay. The apartment was beautifully decorated (very recently), immaculately clean with every possible amenity needed for a weekend or much longer stay. The host Adrian met us at the gate and instructed on how to enter the property, he then showed us indoors and around the apartment. High vaulted ceilings, huge open plan kitchen/lounge/dining and two well appointed bedrooms, both ensuite. All with wonderful underfloor heating. I would definitely stay again. Also, location was excellent for exploring Dartmoor.
Locating the property, was tricky as I was looking for Upper School House, but the property is signposted Ashburton Luxury Lets. A quick call to the host enabled us to find them quickly, so not too much of a problem.

A luxurious, beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable flat in the perfect location.
The best airbnb we have ever stayed in, over multiple countries. Exceptionally high quality beds, beautiful linens, high-end decor, an excellent kitchen, views of the hills out some of the windows, splendid bathrooms. The location in the charming town of Ashburton could not be better--a few steps from coffee shops and tea shops; 2 blocks from a small grocery, a superb butcher, etc. Extremely helpful and congenial hosts. Walking distance to a tiny, highly rated Italian restaurant and to churches and antique stores. Yet stroll a few blocks and you are out of town and walking in the hills of Devon. Everything functioned well, including separate clothes washing and drying machines (very rare in airbnbs in Europe). You will not regret staying in this lovely stone building.
