Cozy Hiker's Hideaway: Steps From Creeper Trail!

Location was excellent-shops, bike rentals, restaurants were walkable. Keyless entry is very convenient. Bed was comfortable and AC and ceiling fan worked well. Kitchen had disposal, Microwave, full fridge and oven. Nice smart TV. Full size washer and dryer. There were outdoor chairs on the deck and a picnic table. Nice shower! Space was relatively clean. And they did have coffee, tea, half and half and sugar for the Keurig maker. Plenty of towels as well as hand and dish soap. Good black out shades on the windows.

This tiny house has so much potential!! It really is a great little place. But it could use some Loving and a few things. The front gutters are overflowing and the sweet deck furniture was dirty. Things that would be nice in the kitchen are a wine opener, a colander, hot pads, pepper, some kind of casserole dish and a reusable keurig cup so people can use their preferred coffee (especially since it is the only option to make coffee). A sponge for washing dishes and an inside door mat (we tracked in water after a rain) would be a nice touch too. At night all of the outlets and AC unit lit up the space. We discovered that you can turn off the AC light with the remote. We used a black trash bag from home and tape to cover the outlet lights and the window in the door. The bedside table on the right side is too small/flimsy and the lamp was broken. Probably because it was so easily knocked over. When we first got there, we couldn’t find any plates to eat on but then discovered that the dishwasher had been run but not emptied so there are 2 plates. The smoke detector was not connected but sitting on the windowsill (it is battery operated so would still work) . And lastly, the check out instructions asked that the trash be taken out but there are no trash receptacles on the property. These easy fixes would make this place hard to beat. I would definitely stay again!

keyless entry was great - this is an apartment studio - everything in one room (except bathroom) and ideal for a couple that needs a base for the adventures. A litte rustic - but in a nice way. Not a lot of dishes - but manageable for breakfast / all appliances are new - Bed was comfortable - shower was good. The only disadvantage is the big construction site right behind the house (I know this is nothing they can influence) but wanted to give a heads up. Outside seating comfortable - all around a nice little place for our trip to the Creeper Trail. And you can basically walk throughout the entire village - no matter where you are catching the shuttle from. Great restaurants too.

The bed was horribly hard. We could not stay the second night even though we had paid for it. Our hips and back were very sore from the first night sleeping there. The wood floors were dirty. The bathroom door did not close all the way.
