Villa Ponticelli

The house is conveniently located 20 mins drive from Palermo and not too far from the sights along the west coast. You have the whole villa to yourself with a large garden so it offers much privacy. The family that owns the villa is very friendly and welcoming but speak very little to no English so communication was a bit difficult.

We found the house is really in need of modernisation and the facilities don’t meet 2018 standards. This is particularly true for the bathrooms and bedrooms. There are 3 very outdated bathrooms with limited hot water supply lasting only 3 mins. Also the toilets have no toilet seats which we thought was a bit strange and uncomfortable. The tap in the indoor kitchen is leaking and has low pressure and the kitchens are lacking some basic utensils such as a kettle and cutting/bread knifes. Note that it is being advertised for 6 people but there are only 2 proper bedrooms, there are 3 more single beds scattered across the house (2 in the living room).
