For the price paid, stay was comfortable, except that I encountered plumbing problems with toilet, it was fixed just not on the same day. I guess it was an unfortunate incident. The staff seemed sincere to resolve it but it was weekend and a replacement part was needed.

Good:
Checkin OK and staff was efficient, however...*see below
Flat screen TV OK and ample sized.
Split AC unit worked well.
Clothes-hanging rod/rack near bed.
Electrical outlet near bed.
Nice breakfast offered for a decent low price.
Metro bus station nearby.
There are some restaurants close by. A major department/grocery super-store "Machetazo" about 6 blocks away also.

Not so good:
The place appears very old and some of the archecture is faltering, basically wrecked. Mirror in room had corner cracked glass. The room furnishings worn/dated/discolored/tilted tables/shelving, etc.
When first entered the bathroom, reaked intense of bleach. So bad, couldn't stay in there at all and could see floor was still damp. This only shows they mop/sanitze bathroom floor. However, near room entrance door, looking down, there was a HUGE cobweb in corner. Prooves they don't sweep and mop/sanitize main floors apparently.
Shower floor pools an emense amount of water, about 4 inches deep!
Toilet draining system extremely dysfunctional. Have to flush at least 2-3 times and still won't completely flush waste.
Bed mattress and pillows are no good. Thin and worn; need replaced. Mattress is like a sinkhole with deep depression which could allow you to fall or roll off edge.
Room and bathroom has jalasie windows which do nothing at all to mask noise. Jalasie windows are ancient, cheap windows that have been around since the 1950's. It is completely ridiculous to use trash-windows like these in this day and age. Definitely should be removed and updated ASAP.
*Incredible amount of noise interior/exterior! LOUD: voices, traffic, horns, music, etc.
*When requested to move to better room, better mattress, less noise, management denied, even though they had available rooms. Apparently, they're either too lazy/incompetent/biased/whatever, you're locked in original booked room and they care less about service.
