Everything was updated! Wonderful bathroom with plenty of hot water and great shower pressure. You can absolutely walk to Garden of the Gods—the trail is right out the front door! It was a pretty easy 4.5 mile round trip using the OCC, Buckskin Charlie and Scotsman trails to get to the Central Garden Loop. There’s also a way to get to Siamese Twins and Balanced Rock that’s probably about the same length. It’s a short drive to everything west of I-25–tremendous location! The host was extremely proactive and responsive, and we were greeted with snacks upon arrival. Absolutely great stay!
The only knock was not having room darkening curtains, but we travel with sleep masks so all was well!

The location near the Garden of the gods.
Casual home with open floor plan spacious living area. Windy weather kept us from using the outdoor seating area.
Two bathrooms would have been nice and the pots and pans were old. Bar stools were wobbly.
