La Villa di Tenute Foti Randazzese

The villa was beautifully furnished and in a fantastic location. It was very spacious, both inside & outside the property. The gardens were lovely.

Nothing.

The outdoor spaces were perfect for different times of day, though most of the furniture is shabby with torn fabric and rusty frames. The kitchen was a good size, though we didn't do any cooking so can't really comment on the facilities, apart from making drinks. It's very convenient for local shopping, restaurants and takeaways. The garage is handy, though our car was a Nissan Qashkai which just fits in, but then you can't get to the boot! It would be fine for a smaller car, but for the size of the house you are unlikely to manage to fit all guests and luggage into anything smaller.

Communication problems. For a couple of reasons we arrived in the town much earlier than we had stated, so sent a message saying that we would find something to do until then. The response was simply "O.K.", which we took to mean that we should stick to the arrangements. Whilst having lunch we had another message from the owner asking where we were and saying that she couldn't wait any longer. We hurried round (all of 5 minutes) to find the place deserted. My wife speaks some Italian and rang up, but was given the wrong code for the key box. Eventually, after an anxious wait, we were sent the correct code. But there was no information in the house. For example we couldn't find the washing machine which was in an outbuilding, the unlabelled key being in a drawer with random junk. The owners also let themselves into the property (apparently to do some gardening) whilst we were sitting out having our dinner, which felt very intrusive. Finally, waking up on the first morning to find our bags soaked by the pool of water from the leaking air con unit did not add to our happiness. We enjoyed our stay, but some things need to be improved to make things more stress free for guests.

Excellent Location …Place was exceptionally clean… Signora Agata was very accommodating and helpful for the entire weekend … Located right next to the main square of Nicolosi … within walking distance from restaurants … Definitely a place to go back to

House was spacious. In town location was convenient to restaurants. Washer and dryer on the premises.

House is run down. Hot water dripped from the shower head then ran out in less than 5 minutes. Wifi did not reach bedrooms. Bedroom and bathroom doors do not close properly. House smelled of burnt wood and parts of stairwell smelled of fuel, like kerosene.
