The facility is located a short walk from either the bus or train station and Lucia (our hostess) provides excellent directions for accessing her lovely home. She maintains a comfortable and welcoming environment which has several places to relax and enjoy the view of downtown Santander as well as the bay. Lucia has many brochures and maps as well as great recommendations for places to visit and bars/restaurants to enjoy the local vibe. As well, she offers a well-equipped kitchen to prepare meals to enjoy in the dining area or out on the expansive terrace with tables, chairs and places to relax. The bedrooms were roomy and well-appointed with luxurious linens and a place to hang clothing. The bathrooms were always clean and well-stocked with supplies (toilet paper and bath soap/shampoo). We stayed for an extended period of three weeks and were made to feel at home and welcomed ~ not just as guests but as friends. Our wonderful memories of our time in Santander were shaped by our visit with Lucia in her lovely home !

Having to leave ...

El Atico is a clean, spacious apartment in an ideal quiet location, a 10 minute walk from the bus/train stations, the cathedral and city centre attractions. Great 7th floor terrace with beautiful views of the city, harbour and mountains, ideal for taking in whilst eating/drinking. Lucia is the perfect host, friendly, accommodating and approachable. If you need to find out anything about Santander please ask her and she will go out of her way to help. Thanks Lucía for a great stay. When I finally get around to walking El Camino, I'll come back and stay at El Atico again. Highly recommended for singles, couples, walkers and city breaks, enjoy everyone🥳😊!!

The property was really comfortable and clean. The terrace is amazing, the location is amazing and Lucía was extremely helpful with anything we needed.
