The house is situated on a very spacious "desert plot", as the special type of flat heath that only exists here on Anholt is called. If you don't want to cook for yourself, the nearest restaurant is just a short walk away. Use your stay for long walks in the fascinating nature of the island, and if you would like to go fishing, there are opportunities to do so nearby. There is a ferry connection from Grenaa (with free long-term parking at the harbour) and a flight route from Roskilde. Check when you can travel to the island before you book a holiday home. The island is almost car-free, as there are only a few kilometres of tarmac road. However, there are company cars and permanent residents have cars.
