Otherwise, the Ryfylkeheiane area offers a number of good hiking opportunities such as Gullingen, Stranddalen, Skuteheia and Reinsnuten. Experience the breathtaking scenery and spectacular views. There are also several fishing lakes with good trout stocks in the area. In winter there are groomed cross-country ski trails nearby. Ski center Gullingen with ski lifts and ski slopes is just a short drive away. For stores and restaurants Sand is only a short drive from the cottage. Here you can also visit the Ryfylk Museum. Day trips on the National Tourist Road to Røldal are recommended.
