The hilly landscape was formed during the last ice age, it belongs to Odsherred and is a UNESCO Geopark. The highest elevation here, Vejrhøj, is an impressive 121 meters high and even offers a view of Roskilde Cathedral in the distance, which itself is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has impressive pointed steeples as well as a collection of sarcophagi of Danish kings. Absolutely worth mentioning in connection with Roskilde is also the Viking Ship Museum, should you plan a trip there. Back at the beach, you will find warm dune depressions for sunbathing and shallow bathing water for many kilometers.
