Only the large and green communal area separates the apartment from the water. The practically furnished accommodation offers a kitchen-cum-living room with a double sofa bed and a separate bedroom, making it ideal for a family or a couple. From the living room you can access the terrace and then the communal green area and tennis court. The island's nature can be explored by hiking or cycling. Small paths wind their way through an idyllic landscape past villages, castles and manor houses. You will also come across traces of the Vikings. North Funen is also home to the only dunes on the island and the largest heathland area. To the north-east lies the Hindsholm peninsula, a landscape shaped by the Ice Age with islets, headlands and a rich variety of flora and fauna. The low water in the bays also makes the area popular with birds. From the northernmost end, the Fyns Hoved nature reserve, you have a marvellous view of the water and the land. Odense is a good destination for an excursion, 30 kilometres from the accommodation you can experience the birthplace of the fairytale poet H. C. Andersen.
