Boiensdorf is a tranquil village situated directly on the idyllic Salzhaff, between the Hanseatic city of Wismar and the Baltic Sea resort of Rerik. The unspoilt beach is perfect for swimming and relaxing. You’ll also find a playground, a kitesurfing school and a snack bar there. For further day trips to the beach, the fine sandy beaches on the island of Poel and in the Baltic Sea resort of Rerik, with its pier, are also well worth a visit. Thanks to the good transport links, you can easily reach the Hanseatic cities of Wismar and Rostock – including the seaside resort of Warnemünde – as well as Schwerin. There you’ll find numerous sights and leisure activities, including historic old towns, harbours, Schwerin Castle, Rostock Zoo, the Wonnemar water park and the Mumpitz indoor playground in Wismar. In neighbouring Stove, there is an agricultural museum where traditional stone-oven bread and cakes are baked during the holiday season.
