Vacation home 8 km from Tuscania, nestled in one of the most beautiful landscapes of Tuscia, the ancient southern Etruria, now Lazio. This landscape is mostly a nature reserve. You are on a farm where flowers, fruits, spices and special herbs are grown. Podere Matilde has been created from an old country house which has been transformed into a vacation home, combining modernity with tradition. The furnishing consists of some antique pieces of furniture and a piano in the music room. Direct access to the kitchen (Provencal style) from the garden. From the kitchen you reach the living room, this ends with 5m windows over the pool. Ideal for groups of families and friends who want to spend the vacation together. From here you can easily discover the region: do not miss the National Museum of Tuscania, with sarcophagi and funerary objects from the IV and II centuries BC, Piazza Bastianini, dominated by the Fontana Grande and the Cathedral and its magnificent churches of Santa Maria Maggiore and S Pietro. Bicycles available for guests. Distances: Marina Velca beach 24 km, Viterbo with the Etruscan Museum 34 km, Orbetello lagoon and Argentario 65 km. The nice house owner can give you information where to taste the best game and fish specialties. He will also inform you about the most interesting destinations in the area, from Vulci with its splendid thermal baths to Cerveteri and Porto Santo Stefano. On request and payment on site: transfer from / to Fiumicino airport; cooking service for typical lunches and dinners. Twice a week a gardener is on site for maintenance. Unpaved access road 1800 m.
