From this cottage the east coast and west coast are equidistant. Färjestaden and the sights of Öland are also nearby. Also, the surrounding area is made for walking and hiking. Färjestaden attracts with stores and restaurants. There are also fine swimming opportunities, both in heated pools and in the sea at Kalmarsund. It is not far to Saxnäs golf course, which is beautifully laid out in the nature. The surrounding area is also home to Ölands Animal and Amusement Park.
