On an excursion to the north, you can experience the rauks of Byxelkrok, a troll forest and the Lådbilslandet amusement park. In the south you will find Öland's animal and amusement park, Eketorp, the reconstructed ancient ring castle from the Iron Age, the Alvaret and Ottenby. Öland is home to several golf courses, the nearest being Ekerums Golf and Resort. Öland is also an island of artists and craftsmen, and you will find their shops and studios in several places. The coastal road between Äleklinta and Byrum is one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the country and passes many charming places such as Djupvik, Sandvik and Jordhamn.
