The area of Cilento, in the Campania region, in the south of Italy, between Paestum in the north, Sapri in the south and the Vallo di Diano in the east, is an insider's tip for all those who love authentic Italy far from the usual bed and breakfast resorts. Here you will find small, characteristic hamlets in the hills with a wonderful panoramic view, chic coastal towns with free and equipped sandy beaches or small, idyllic bathing bays with crystal clear water, where you can drink an aperitif in the evening on the piazza or where a small harbor invites you to take a walk. Art and culture lovers or nature lovers will also get their money's worth here. Thanks to the pleasant air and water temperatures both in late spring and in autumn, sometimes even late autumn, this region is suitable not only for your summer vacation, but also for a beach or bathing vacation in the early or late season.
