There are excellent bathing beaches on Kegnæs, and one of them is close to the house. Here you can enjoy beach life at any time of the year, whether sunbathing in the dunes, listening to the soothing sound of the waves or watching the children searching in the sand for shells and beautiful stones on the child-friendly beach. On the coast you can fish and delight the family with a dinner of fresh salmon, cod, plaice or pike. Visit Augustenborg Slot Castle, which was built in the 1770s. Today it houses an exhibition on the dramatic history of the castle and the ducal family.
