L'Ecrin des Alpilles

It was exactly as described. We only had access to the small pool which was lovely for what we needed (we just were confused by the large pool in the photos, which we didn’t have access to). Air conditioning was amazing in the heat and with the bedroom doors open it cooled the apartment enough even though it was only in the living room. The rooms were lovely. The pool and outdoor furniture was exactly what we needed for our stay. Our host was lovely, even though we spoke little French and he spoke little English, we managed and he was very kind and welcoming.

It would have been nice to have had a few basics in the kitchen such as oil and salt and pepper, just because it is so far from anywhere we ate in a lot and didn’t want to buy lots for a few days, or some washing machine capsules and a bit more soap in the dispensers would have been good. The metal stairs out of the pool were not attached to the side properly so were a little treacherous to get on, which made climbing out the pool a bit tricky.

Without car or bicycle it takes over 30 minutes to reach the village / grocery possibilities.
