The White House - Edithburgh

It was good, the dining and kitchen facilities being upstairs made it not as livable as would of liked. Pleasant views from upstairs balcony however.

Basic toiletries like basin soap could of been present. Bin liners could of been on hand to suit provided kitchen bin.

First the positive things! The location was good and in walking distance to jetty and main st. The two king beds were very comfortable and we had a lovely view from the deck! Parking space was also a decent area especially for a boat! The house was big enough for two families if needed. The shower pressure was good. Oven, fridge and stove clean and quite functional

The whole house needed a big deep clean and fresh paint! Coffee table grubby. Carpets stained and stair railings and walls very unclean. Sliding door windows were very dirty and the outdoor table and some of the chairs were really rusty. Our bedroom blinds were broken and not able to be closed properly! They didn’t even supply a small rubbish bin in the downstairs bathroom/ toilet area!! The curtains covering the sliding doors were old and hooks missing. The toaster did not work and there was no globe in the bedroom lamp! The mat on family room floor was a trip hazard as it was buckled up. The hand basin down stairs didn’t drain properly and the pool was green and slimy despite advertising we were able to swim from Oct to Jan! We were told on the ad that you need to bring towels, linen, bath mats and tea towels. Once we had paid, however we were then told that the property didn’t supply any hand soap in bathrooms , dish washing liquid and dish washer tablets, toilet paper( yes seriously) shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, dish sponges and scourer, cling wrap, foil and also there were no rubbish bags supplied!
