My room heater wasn’t working in the middle of winter and room had really bad odour. Different room wasn’t offered because there was no at the reception at the time I checked in and no refund was offered either.

Convenient location next to the Rhine with a ten minute walk into town to go to one of the many restaurants. Breakfast is basic but acceptable and has all the usual continental options.

I don't really recommend it

Was clean

The rooms don't even have a simple kettle to make tea or coffee. The bath soap smells bad. The hallways aren't aired out, and it's incredibly hot. The maximum cost of accommodation in this standard is €60, not €100.

Good well located hotel.

Good hotel a short walk from the centre of Boppard with nice clean spacious room. There's a pleasant outdoor seating area over looking the river where you can take your drinks from the bar.

No air con when we were there in mid 30s temperature so room was very hot at night.

Noisy machine building work directly below us. Not acceptable. Receptionist just said’sorry’. Done a long drive and wanted a sleep; not possible! Went out for dinner and returned just before 9pm; all locked up. Receptionist did not tell us to use another door with key card.Hotel facilities offers bar. No…. Just a fridge offering beer or wine and the restaurant manager/barman did let us have a drink before he went off duty. Parking an issue when busy, having to park on grass verge across the road.

Great find and good value

Great location on the river Rhine with an easy stroll along the river into the beautiful picturesque Old Town. Large clean modern room. Fan in room was a useful addition as it was hot when we stayed. Also nice to see that there was a full length mirror in the bedroom and the en suite shower room was fully kitted out complete with hairdryer. Parking available too.

The property has the Rhine on the oneside and a road and railway on the other. We had a roadside room so the noise of the trains and road could be off-putting for some. However, we still had a good night's sleep. Tricky to find but Google maps got us there.

Nice hotel, but beware of the railway noise all through the night!

Comfy bed and decent, clean room and shower. Pleasant staff.

Because we had a room at the front of the hotel, this is face on to the very busy railway line - very noisy, all through the night, so we had little sleep.

Not the Worst Time but certainly not the Best Time!

Hotel still in the process of being renovated (so a very strong smell of paint in many areas) but at least it was all fresh and new but some of the workmanship was questionable so I reckon it’s being done up on the cheap. Personally I think they have opened too early and should have waited until the works were finished. Room was fine - quite small but it had what we needed but it was very hot (no aircon). Location is not bad but bear in mind it’s a good 15 minute walk into the town (the hotel is actually located about 200m out of Boppard based on the road signs). Overall, it did what it needed to but I don’t think it offered very good value or a particularly happy guest experience.

Very difficult to actually find the place! It’s actually the old Hotel d’Europe and there is no new signage at all so we drove past it several times. On closer inspection they had put a sheet of A4 paper on the door with the new name on but that’s impossible to see from the road. Staff came across as utterly uninterested. Apart from wanting to upsell us breakfast (rather expensive I thought so didn’t bother) there was no welcome or indeed any indication that we were actually guests who were paying to be there. Cleaning staff just looked bemused when you spoke to them. Car parking was not exactly organised but I did get a space - it’s made more difficult by having builders vans all over the front when we were there.

Reasonable price/quality for a short stay

Hotel staff arranged late check-in, it was easy to find. The area and the river view is beautiful. Its a good location not far from the motorway to stay overnight. Free parking. Breakfast was simple.

There is railway in front of the building, so with open windows it's very noisy. Trains passing very often and it's really loud. So I managed to fall asleep only after I closed the windows, but still you can hear them.

Newly refurbished rooms are to a high standard. Good parking for motor cycles. Fair price and food was excellent for the amount you pay.

The rooms have a fan but air conditioning is needed as unable to have windows open on front due to traffic and train noise. Room was very hot.

Might become a fair hotel in the future, but very expensive for what you (don't) get.

Location is fine, close to the center of town. The rooms are brand new and quite large. Not thoroughly cleaned though. Furniture is good enough, bed was good and of average size.

Reception closed at 8pm (we arrived at 19.55u), which I think is unreasonably early. Furthermore, there was no receptionist available during the night nor in the morning for checkout at all. We had to prepay, for it was the only option. The night entrance was open (not only unlocked but open) for the whole night with no security present. The second part of the hotel was still being renovated, with lots of building materials near the front entrance and workers in the early morning. Our room wasn't cleaned good enough. The free water bottle was already 90% empty with half filled glasses by its side, the toilet had urine stains on it and wasn't properly flushed. No receptionist there thought to complain, he had already left the property. A train track was right in front of the hotel with long freight trains passing through the night every 10-15 minutes, which was incredibly loud. With the warm nights we experienced during our stay we could not keep the windows closed, because there was no airconditioning. It was a very bad night.

Would use again

We booked day in advance. Stay was ok, slight trouble finding due to OLD signage on side of hotel. They are in the process of renovating hotel, which when done should be fantastic. What has been done so far is great. New, clean, spacious. This is based on what we have seen so far. Renovations caused no problems.15 min walk into town centre for evening meal, lovely by the river. Didn't use restaurant.

Ordentliches Hotel mit guter fußläufiger Anbindung ans Zentrum; schöne Lage direkt am Fluss

Schöner Fußweg zur Innenstadt entlang am Fluss.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Straße. Es ist auch nachts sehr laut durch die vorbeiführende Bundesstraße und die gleich dahinterliegende Bahnlinie. Beim nächsten Aufenthalt würde ich ein Zimmer mit Blick zum Fluss buchen...

Empfehlenswert für Kurzurlaub

Für einen Aufenthalt von2 bis 3 Tagen empfehlenswertes Hotel. Es liegt zwar an der Straße und Bahn, aber wenn man Zimmer zur Rheinseite bucht, bekommt man davon wenig mit. Und der Blick auf den Rhein beim Frühstück ist schon sehr schön. Mit einem 15 bis 20 Minuten Spaziergang, immer am Rhein lang, ist man im Zentrum von Boppard.

Frühstück ist in Ordnung, könnte beim Aufschnitt etwas abwechslungsreicher sein. Man kann sich den ganzen Tag mit Wasser, Kaffee und alkoholfreie Getränke bedienen (umsonst)

Das Frühstück ist gut und ausreichend. Blick auf den Rhein ist schön. Eine Flasche stilles Wasser steht im Zimmer und wird, wenn es leer ist, ersetzt. Man kann direkt am Rhein nach Boppard laufen.

Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer ist nicht gut. Spinnweben und Staubflusen sind überall und in unserem Zimmer waren die Abfalleimer nicht geleert. Gänge/Flure sehr hellhörig, auf Nachtruhe wird nicht geachtet, Türen knallen. Das Teilstück am Rhein zum Hotel ist nachts nicht beleuchtet.

Service steht nicht auf dem Programm

Wir haben ein Upgrade des Zimmers kostenfrei auf Nachfrage erhalten. Das gebuchte Zimmer war zur Seite der Bundesstraße und der Bahnlinie gelegen und damit sehr laut. Das neue Zimmer lag zur Rheinseite und absolut ruhig.

Es wird so gut wie kein Service geboten. Die Rezeption ist lediglich von 14 bis 20 Uhr besetzt. Außerhalb dieser Zeit gibt es niemanden der deutsch spricht. Die Sauberkeit war oberflächlich okay, bis wir am nächsten Morgen Wollmäuse auf dem Boden sahen. Auf Badematten wird verzichtet. Den Frühstückstisch muss man selbst decken und auch wieder abräumen. Das Frühstück selbst ist eher einfach gehalten aber dennoch relativ umfangreich mit Gemüse, Obst, Joghurt, Süßspeisen. Außer einem hart gekochten Ei gibt es keine frischen Eierspeisen oder sonstige warme Gerichte. Ohne Vorwarnung wird pünktlich um 10 Uhr das Buffet abgeräumt. Man verabschiedet sich aus dem Hotel, indem man die Schlüsselkarte in einen Korb legt und geht.

Alles in allem gut, bis auf Lage des Zimmers

Grundsätzlich war alles in Ordnung. Mitarbeiter, soweit sie da waren, waren freundich. Lage etwas außerhalb, aber zu Fuß ins Zentrum (15 Minuten) akzeptabel. Parkplätze kostenlos, aber wer zuletzt kommt, den beißen die Hunde. Frühstück war angemessen. Unser Zimmer lag zur Straße und zur Bahnstrecke. Für eine Nacht -na ja. Bei geöffnetem Fenster, also in der warmen Jahreszeit nicht akzeptabel.

Das Rerstaurant wird abends nur nach Laune des Personals besetzt.
