The area of Kensington is broadly defined. Its northern border is created by Holland Park Avenue. The southern border is a complex line where it meets Chelsea, both sharing similar architecture. The east of the borough has a green buffer through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park with the West defined by the west London railway Line and Earl’s Court Road.
South Kensington boasts a sophisticated array of medium sized shops and boutiques alongside restaurants and bars. This area is easily accessible via the London Underground.

This was a very good location. It was about two blocks from the tube which was next to a large Waitrose. This made it convenient for tube travel plus it's close to sights in Kensington/Knightbridge.. My only problem is that the apartment wasn't the one that was pictured or described but we made it work. Communication with the agency was excellent. good. All questions were answered very promptly.

I was expecting something a little different based on the photos in the listing, but the actual apartment was great for our family of 3. It's on the 9th floor of the Point West Building which has 24 hour front desk employees (they're super nice). Matthew & our Duty Manager Merilla were very attentive, communicated quickly & graciously. The apartment is an open concept including the dining, living & bedroom. The kitchen & bathroom can be closed off. The king bed is comfortable & the twin bed was like a trundle bed & fit nicely near the entrance hall. The little balcony had a love seat & large ottoman. The kitchen looks recently renovated & had 3 pots, 3 pans, a knife set, an electric kettle, a Nescafé dolce gusto w/ coffee pods, a corkscrew, 4 place settings, dish soap, dishwasher tabs, washer tabs, 1 dish towel & a sponge. A couple of wooden spoons, a grater and cutting board, 2 spatulas, a ladle and a few other silicone utensils. 8 mugs & glasses. We didn't use the oven but it doesn’t look like it had ever been used it was so clean. Nice size fridge as well. About a block away from the unit is a Waitrose Grocery that also has fresh daily sushi. The Gloucester Station is less than 2 blocks. There is a post office stop across from the station and several fast food and sit down restaurants within walking distance. If you are used to AC, request it. Even though pictures show stairs, there are none. Tube runs close by but we didn't hear it inside. Would recommend & stay again.

This place looks not remotely like the unit pictured. The bedroom is totally different. The kitchen. The common room. It’s not the same unit at all. My sense is the owner or property manager uses generic photos but they’re very misleading. The place is fine - the furniture is clean, etc. Let’s start with the good things. The location was great. Gloucester Road is a great tube option with lots of lines. The unit is clean. It lacks any extra toilet roll or tissues or even kitchen towels - so we had to go to buy those things. The unit is very safe in a doorman building. The bed was comfortable. But we need to talk about the train. There is an overground train the runs by the bedroom every three minutes all day and night. It is so loud and makes horrible squeaks. The manager refused to provide white noise machines, so I slept with two white noise apps, earplugs, a fan, and noise cancelling headphones. It still woke me up and I am a sound sleeper. Unbelievably he says he has never heard the train there before. You would have to be completely hearing impaired for that to be the case. To his credit when I lost my temper about the train in a jet lagged haze, he remained polite. But he offered no solution. If you don’t mind extreme noise just outside your bedroom window - this is your spot! I know he has several units. This one is on the 7th floor and you couldn’t pay me enough to ever stay there again. No unit is perfect but the trains made sleep a total nightmare. Avoid.
