About this house rental
With 4 acres of hilly terrain,
you will have access to tall trees, buttressing clear water. This is an outdoor adventures delight with so much nature to explore.
4 Acres to take your pets on the trails.
We love pets. $50 Pet Fee per pet.
This winterized Cottage sits on a small hill with breathtaking views of Clear Lake year round.
Private residence, quiet and secluded.
Easy access to private dock and lake. Caution steep hill, not for the faint of heart.
Swim or Fish off the dock in clean fresh water!
The space
The Property is secluded with a long road to the Cottage and Clear Lake from Highway 17 East.
Guest access
This is a private home, so the home is not shared. There will be a separate office space for the Host. The rented area has separate access, two bedrooms, master bedroom with Queen size bed, second bedroom, single bed with another air mattress, living room, dining room, full kitchen, breakfast nook/laundry room with washer.

Food is highly recommend. Kid friendly. 5 Star. Enjoy!

I personally love love love this place if you're a shopper, female geared to, you will love it too.
Inventory of beautiful eclectic, one of a kind,

just gorgeous, a bit pricey thou.
Beside this shop is also an ice cream shop with the most delicious ice cream flavors.
I recommend chocolate-peanut butter ice cream cone!

Basswood Lake, Huron Shores, ON P0R, Canada
We hear there is good Fishing here! .9 miles away. Also, Clear Lake has good fishing, where you will be staying. Fishing right off our dock!

This is a beautiful fast-moving river.
I believe it's a bit shallow.
My friends had gone kayaking here, even with the blowup Kayak.

This is a pretty big grocery store with all fresh produce, meats.

Lumberjack day in Blind River seems to be every Civic Long weekend and appears to be a big festival,
same goes for Community Day in Thessalon.
Museum in Iron Bridge is a good little pit stop and a great way to get to know the area better. (Highly recommend this)
THE 12 SIDED BARN!!!!- Jeff says, I don't know if my inner farmer is coming out here but this was a cool visit for me and was only about 10 mins up the road towards Thessalon.
They appear to only be open on Saturdays from 9am - 2 pm and it includes a Farmers Market (produce, art, baking), Crafts and Coffee.
I know weird but fun fact, there's only 4 of these in Ontario. Thank you Jeff!

Beach's in the area:
Thessalon Beach - Could be the best beach around and only 18 mins from the cottage, "we were all dumbfounded when we got to this beach every time around 11 am thinking it would be packed as there is a trailer park just behind it but nope NOT A SOUL!"

Sand bars allow for a lot of shallow water.
Little Basslake Beach - Fishing area solely.
Fourth Sand Beach (Blind River) - this one is worth the 25 min drive.
Beautiful stretch of sand bars.

Had a nice cozy stay here. The lake/property itself is nice and rustic and it's close to other pretty spots that are just the highway. And we saw bald eagles!

Property was well kept and has everything you need so just show up with food and clothes and your all set! The lake has plenty of bass and pike to do some fishing and a sweet beach 10 mins away in Thessalon! Would rent this again.

This location is perfect if you have a boat to dock and fish in the lake. Everything you need is here for housekeeping and cooking meals, even towels. There is an over abundance of furniture for additional people in the cottage.
