Masseria Cielo Cielo - DIEMME STAY

This was a dream stay, once a few initial hurdles were overcome. The guest rooms are on the ground floor of a beautiful old villa, built right inside Lecce's city wall. There is a parking lot with security right across the street in the rear of the building (on Via Adua), and codes open the gate on the entrance side and the main door. The lush gardens feature a lovely pool. Our room had a private patio where we breakfasted: and the breakfasts were stellar. Local specialties, coffees made to order, homemade cordials, oven-fresh baked goods, all arranged artistically buffet-style right outside our bedroom door. The owners, the manager and the ever-competent, ever-smiling Stefania, in charge of breakfast, were kind and helpful. Our room was ample and the bathroom made the best possible use of limited space with a good-sized shower and lots of shelving -- more than plenty to hold toiletries for two people. Every morning we walked out the front gate and right into the Baroque city: the car stayed in the parking lot. The perfect accommodation for three wonderful days enjoying the Roman ruins, museums, exquisite dining (don't miss Doppio Zero (Via Guglielmo Paladini 2) or Gusto Liberrima (Corte dei Cicala 12), the latter adjacent to the Liberrima bookstore with plenty of books in English!), and the best shopping of our whole 12-day trip, including Manufactus (handcrafted leather goods and stationery), Petra Aurea (stone carvings, including petite and adorable ones) and Gallery Design (unique handbags), all near the entrance to the Cathedral Square/Piazza del Duomo. The only, fleeting problem was our arrival. Somehow Booking did not transmit my phone number and the manager at Dimora Storica Muratore couldn't reach us on the day we drove to Lecce from Barletta. We arrived and our GPS tried to send us to the front entrance, an impossibility as the street was completely dug up and in construction. We parked nearby, illegally, and had to balance across a long sequence of boards through the construction zone to the front gate, where we found the manager on the phone with Booking trying to get in touch with us! From that moment on, everything was smooth as butter. The manager sent us to the parking lot right across from the back entrance to the property, we could roll our suitcases across the street and into the mansion, and there we were. Just make sure the Dimora has your phone number, and you will have a purely glorious time.

Ottima posizione a 5 minuti dal centro di Alberobello, dalla quale si può però godere di una grande pace; nota molto positiva il cortile ad uso esclusivo dell’utenza perfetto per rilassarsi all’aria aperta. Casa molto grande ottimi spazi tre camere da letto confortevoli. Struttura pulita e in ordine. Consigliatissima per chi cerca relax e amante della natura Proprietario e la sua collaboratrice molto cordiali e disponibili

Localização a 10 min a pé do centro da cidade , local tranquilo e silencioso . Anfitrião simpático.

L’hôte David était exceptionnelement aimable et très attentionné. Il nous a fait visité le lieux et s’occupait du jardin. Il était disponible et nous avons eu droit à un changement de draps et serviettes au milieu du séjour. L’emplacement était parfait , pas très loin du centre ville et le jardin était très agréable , dommage souvent à l’ombre

La salle de bain était un peu trop rustique à notre goût, assez froide et humide mais reste quand même propre.
