Belle Maison by Homie

The villa was great and we loved having so many rooms with ensuite bathrooms for all our friends. The pool area was really beautiful and we had so much space to host everyone. The villa was really clean and modern and the location was amazing, we loved being so close to the city center! The rooftop view was totally killer and we enjoyed spending time up there.

We didn't have soap in any of the bathrooms (hand soap or bar soap) at first but the hosts were quick to fix it. The beds and pillows weren't super comfortable but we managed :) Also there was only 1 key provided for 8 guests so that got a bit complex trying to figure out who took the key and when but other than that we really enjoyed our stay

Jolie maison, très confortable, très bien équipée et très bien située. Nous avons apprécié la modernité, les chambres toutes équipées avec douche et WC. Nous avons aussi aimé le petit jardin et la vue qui la valorisent et le grand garage pour abriter un gros véhicule 9 places et une voiture type berline.

Les récents incendies de forêt génèrent beaucoup de retombées et de suie... Malheureusement, il est difficile de lutter contre ça, mais le mobilier de jardin et la terrasse noircissaient chaque jour. Des travaux de réparation sont en revanche à prévoir àl'interieur (plâtre des murs et parquets suite à un dégât des eaux ? ...ainsi que l'écoulement de l'évier proche du BBQ et d'une des douches au RDC).

We loved the property, it’s hugely spacious. Bedrooms are a great size and having full bathroom and showers in each room as well as communal ones is a huge plus. The rooms over the pool had fantastic view and real luxury. Washing machines and dishwasher were a fantastic addition as well as including the tablets for both were a nice touch. The pool was fantastic though not heated. The outdoor area on all levels is incredible, the view, and the bbq facilities were outstanding. Beds were comfy but pillows very plush and a little uncomfortable. Loads of blankets and pillows provided for sofa beds were a huge plus. The decor is up to date and property was very clean. Felt like a dream house. We’ll definitely be booking again!

The hot tub wasn’t working and we spotted this in a previous review and asked about it, we were advised that it may be fixed but then it wasn’t. We did receive a partial refund which did help, but would have liked to have had use of it all week. The layout was different from the pictures. The pool table in the images was in ground floor kitchen/lounge but this had been moved into the basement with one sofa which made socialising difficult, when we wanted to eat and socialise we had to go to kitchen and we ended up not using the pool table as we used it as the garage. One of the sofa beds was down there as well. Only one of the kitchens had cutlery and plates etc which meant we could only use one. With a large group it would have been nice to be able to split up. The on street parking was spacious but be aware it’s on a really steep hill and near the corner. We struggled to get access to the bins until the last few days and needed to drive rubbish down. Not a complaint but would be handy to have some dustpan and brushes and a mop and hoover, 14 people over 8 days meant we struggled to keep as tidy. Had some issues with ants and this could have been managed better with more cleaning supplies.

Das beste an der Unterkunft war die super Aussicht. Meer und Blick über Funchal bei Nacht war grandios. Die Aufteilung der Räume im Haus sind gut, wenn man als Gruppe oder Familie/n reist.

Die Unterkunft wirkt etwas heruntergekommen. Es fallen Sockelleisten ab, Türen sind schief oder schwergängig. Die Fugen sind brüchig. Der Terrassen Boden um den Pool schief und durchgetreten. Die Auflagen schmuddelig. Es wirkt einfach nicht gut gepflegt. Auch die Sauberkeit ist eher oberflächlich. Schade war auch das der Billardtisch nicht oben (wie auf den Fotos) sondern unten in der Garage stand. Die Fotos zeigen wie schön es sein könnte… Hier kann zwar die Unterkunft nichts dafür, dennoch als Hinweis: der Nachbar hat drei Hunde die mehr oder weniger 24/7 bellen.
