The location is spectacular, ideal for hiking and nature enthusiasts, with numerous trails to explore. It is also conveniently situated, just 20 minutes from Malia's shops and restaurants, and 40 minutes from Heraklion Airport. The hosts were very helpful; when the sleeping rooms were chilly, they promptly provided three heaters upon request. They also left welcoming home-made sweets for us and drinks in the fridge, which was a nice gesture. The terrace and balcony, the big windows in the living room allow you to experience the outside also when indoors.
It can be somewhat chilly downstairs, where the sleeping rooms are located - we were there in the second half of April. But the hosts provided us with heaters which we used before going to bed fora while to slightly heat up the rooms. The internet is rather slow, but it is something one expects when in a valley surrounded by mountains.
