Dana-Private Room in a Shared House-Close to City & ANU-2

Pleasant stay on a budget. The rooms are spread out (I think there's 4?), two bathrooms, kitchen in the middle. It was surprisingly quiet and I barely encountered the others. Bathrooms were very clean, as was the kitchen. Fridge was well-organized, with one shelf labeled per room, which I thought was brilliant. Location is a bit secluded - about a 15-20 min walk to the trolley or to the grocery store. There is a bus that stops by closer.

Nice-ish backyard that needs some TLC.

The host was lovely and very friendly when he greeted us. The locks on the doors feel very secure. The place is clean, tidy, and comfortable. The showers were really nice with great water pressure. Big backyard if people want to spend time outside. Location is outside the city but we were able to walk there in just 30 minutes.

An earlier check-in/later check-out would be useful. 4pm check in is quite late at 9am check out is early. Being charged $10 per hour for an early check in seems a bit wrong as it implies the room is/is able to be ready but comes at a cost (we just asked if they could accommodate 3pm check in). A sheet on the bed under the doona would make a huge difference in the warmer weather.

Unfortunately the electricity went funky so the main lamp couldn't be turned on during my stay. Other than that? Great going
