Alles- die Lage - Parkplätze am Haus- die Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit aller dort tätigen Personen- man hat das Gefühl zur Familie zu gehören - um Wünsche die man äußert wurde sich umgehend gekümmert- die Zimmer haben Klimaanlage moderne Bäder und sind alle speziell eingerichtet- ganz nach den Champagnersorten - sehr gutes Restaurant im Haus - der Empfang begann gleich mit einer Einladung zur Champagner- Verkostung

The chateau was absolutely stunning, our room was the nicest room we’ve ever stayed in and we cannot recommend it enough.

Most of the staff were lovely, pleasant and attentive. Several are multi lingual. Our room was fine and the shower was excellent. Parking on site.

I may have missed the fact that this is not a hotel - I based that on a price of £240 per night room only. It is, it seems, a chambre d'hotes which in the old days was a B&B. So the rules are that it is just a room in someone's house. This clearly isn't the case as this is a commercial venue but it means their standards can be lower. So, no clean towels (they say that's for eco reasons but we all know it's economy reasons) and no room cleaning. But it was clear that they wanted only to provide as little as possible. Much is made on booking.com that there is a coffee machine in each room - that is true but you get 2 pods of coffee only. I had to ask for more for my second day and was given 2 - reluctantly. We didn't eat there as there was only a multi course menu - and I didn't want that. The champagne tasting was a bit rushed as they were busy and it was spoiled by a noisy foursome who seemed to be getting more of a tasting than anyone else! The straw that broke the camel's back was that when we arrived - before we even got our bags out of the car - was that my husband was asked if he wanted breakfast (we had booked room only as I don't eat breakfast). He sort of said yes, maybe, he's see. And he didn't as we had a late start but it was added to the bill on the grounds that they had to "prepare it". There's nothing to be prepared in putting a croissant and a cup of coffee on the table! It was removed, but it left a very sour taste in the mouth. So, £484 for a day and a half in a B*B with one cup of coffee per day. So disappointed.
