In the heart of Vilcabamba House don Tuquito

Perfect apartment right off the main plaza area. Very comfortable, large, and super clean. Fresh clean water also, and perfect kitchen. It is close to everything - tiendas, fruiteria, restaurants - but also on a quieter street. Host was super helpful sharing information on where we could watch World Cup games, communication overall was great. There was an excellent washing machine and terrace to hang clothes. And the view is incredible from the rooftop. Both bedrooms have natural light and even in the kitchen and living room light comes in from glass tiles. We ate at the Chinese restaurant next door and it was nice, fresh, large portions for great price.

Mario, our host, was incredibly helpful & has a great sense of humour. He graciously met us, gave us a full tour of the apartment & excellent information on local hiking. The apartment is very clean & wonderful. It’s big with a lot of attention to detail. The kitchen is very well equipped. Everything you could need. The main bedroom has a huge sliding door with a balcony - great for nightime breezes (it’s on the 2nd floor across from the police station with views into the mountains). It has built-in wood wardrobes - very elegant. The second bedroom (2 twin beds) also has large windows with views. The beds are comfortable with lots of pillows. The washroom is also fully equipped with soap, shampoo, bath matt, towels & lots of hot water. Wifi is good. The spacious living area has a selection of local maps & guides. There is a laundry as well as an amazing roof patio. It’s huge! It has a covered area with a mini-kitchen, comfortable couches & coffee tables & even a washroom with panoramic views. Vilcabamba is nestled in the mountains so you can see both the town as well as the mountains all around. There is on-site, secure parking. Every detail has been addressed - there’s even a first aide cabinet in the apartment as well as a USB charging cord, in case you forgot. It doesn’t get any better!

Big clean apartment close to downtown Vilca. Hot shower. Bottled water for guests. Ample kitchen. Comfortable beds. Right across from the local police station.

Would be nice to have more towels and toilet paper (1 roll provided for a 3 night stay). Also, the price was on the high end. Very noisy street as the motorbike rental shop is 3 doors down, with guys racing around the town all day and night long.
