Riverside Luxury Apartment with Garage

Spacious, bright, and clean apartment located in a quiet neighborhood close to the river, with a 10–15 minute walk to the old town. Very nice and fast communication with the host. The apartment has all the facilities needed for comfortable living.

Velmi pohodlný, prostorný a pěkný apartmán na dobrém místě. I když je poblíž hlavní silnice, nebyl ani hluk.

Veškerá komunikace kromě telefonu probíhala v angličtině a bylo to poněkud neosobní. Před příjezdem jsem byla požádána zaslat "personal ID" na jakousi anonymní adresu - poslala jsem tedy vyfotografovaný občanský průkaz, ale nebylo to moc příjemné (společnost, která apartmán provozuje, je zřejmě anglická a o nějakém GDPR asi nikdy neslyšeli). Takém mě překvapilo, že po odjezdu jsem platila přes málo známou platební bránu městský poplatek - dala bych přednost zaplatit to najednou s ubytováním. Ale paní na telefonu (místní) byla milá a ochotná pomoci.

The apartment is spacious, well located, and broadly matches the listing photos, but the overall experience fell short.

Communication felt impersonal and very process-driven. Before and during the stay there were multiple messages covering penalties, paid early check-in options, an upsell for a third-party service, and, after checkout, repeated requests to leave a review. During the stay my phone number was shared with the cleaning staff, who contacted me on WhatsApp to enquire whether we would be checking out before the advertised 11:00 checkout time in order to accommodate their cleaning schedule. The city tax was also collected separately after booking via a Stripe payment link in Czech koruna rather than euros, despite the booking being made in EUR, resulting in a small currency conversion fee. The apartment itself also had several issues. The main ceiling light in the living area did not work, a previous guest's socks had been left beside the sofa, and there were large, visible clumps of dust under the bed. The listing mentions streaming services, but these require guests to use their own accounts. A coffee machine was provided but no capsules were supplied, and the toiletries amounted to refillable hand soap. There is also a motion-activated video camera outside the apartment door, which I did not expect. Overall, this is a decent apartment in a good location, but the management style, housekeeping, maintenance, and attention to detail did not match the expectations created by the listing.
