Una lampadina luce centrale fulminata; stanza adiacente occupata da famiglia con figli “rumorosi” alle 5 del mattino, forse per checkout .

The host was lovely! She was very attentive and accommodating. She even offered to take us to our event near her home. She was kind and the place is so beautiful.

It’s a beautiful property just outside Rome proper, well maintained. Good free parking. Great views of the surrounding hilly area. The apartment is the basement of the house. It is nicely furnished , very comfy. There were 3 of us so the accommodations were perfect. Bed comfortable, bathroom well done, good sitting and eating area. Adequate kitchen. Nice sitting area outside. Lots of windows and natural light. Rosella, owner, is a lovely person and lives in house above. She was very accommodating and helpful with requests or questions. English was limited, I have no Italian, but has translation apps that work well. Getting to the place definitely requires driving directions, such as Google Maps provide. They have done a GREAT job of putting signage along the route. Supposedly the taxi (Uber/Lyft?.) know how to find and access the property. Most properties appear to have gates at end their lane or at community entrances. Nothing in walking distance. Lots of food and other shopping options not too far, as well as Restaurants, require transportation.

There is a trek to the apartment from the parking area on a switch back path uphill with steps. Once at the top there are stairs down to the basement. This trek was a surprise. The pictures do not show you need to walk up a hill…with baggage. This apartment Would not work for a disabled or handicap person. The kitchen could have used more basic cooking and eating utensils. Good knife for bread or slicing veggies, a cutting board, bowl(s) larger than cereal or soup size. More spoons … I’ve found a lot of apartments don’t supply paper towels or tissues. Or a kitchen towel for drying dishes or your hands. This is a nice touch to have….maybe it’s just being American and spoiled. lol Didn’t need Air Conditioning or heat, weather was pleasant. Heat is turned off in early April.

Immersa nel cuore pulsante dell’Appia Antica, questa struttura è molto più di un semplice alloggio: è un frammento di Roma Antica che continua a respirare. Il giardino che la circonda è un luogo sospeso nel tempo, dove già nel pomeriggio il panorama si apre in una luce morbida e struggente. La sera il cielo diventa incredibilmente nitido, quasi una cupola tersa che invita al silenzio; e l’alba, vista da questo stesso giardino, è uno spettacolo che riconcilia con il mondo. È come assistere ogni volta a un piccolo miracolo. Ho soggiornato nella camera matrimoniale, affacciata proprio su questo scorcio senza tempo. Pur essendo immersa in una dimensione così antica e poetica, la stanza offre tutti i comfort moderni,compresa una macchinetta del caffè, che trasforma il risveglio in un gesto di calma e di piacevole familiarità. Ciò che rende questo luogo davvero speciale è il silenzio. Un silenzio pieno, vivo, che avvolge e permette di ascoltare ciò che di solito va perduto: il respiro della storia, la propria interiorità, la bellezza semplice del tempo che scorre lento. L’host è una presenza preziosa: attento, gentile, sempre disponibile a suggerire percorsi, itinerari o semplicemente a offrirti quella cura discreta che raramente si incontra nei viaggi. Si ha immediatamente la sensazione di essere accolti, non solo ospitati; di entrare in una casa in cui ogni dettaglio è pensato per far sentire chi arriva un po’ meno viaggiatore e un po’ più residente del luogo. Per chi viaggia spesso, come me, è raro trovare un posto che non sia soltanto un punto d’appoggio, ma una vera esperienza di quiete, bellezza e umanità. Qui, invece, tutto questo accade con naturalezza. Un luogo incantato, che resta dentro. Sconsiglio vivamente questa struttura al turista frettoloso, al viaggiatore del “mordi e fuggi” che non sa fermarsi ad ascoltare la bellezza. Questo è un luogo che richiede lentezza, rispetto e sensibilità: chi non è disposto a viverlo davvero, non potrà comprenderlo.
