- Clean area - Good amenities - Good communication The area was overall clean, and there were many amenities available. Communication was also good, as we were able to call and speak with the owner late at night, around 12:40 a.m., which we appreciated.

The main issue was that the arrival and check-in instructions were not clear enough. Regarding parking, we were told that parking was available on the street. However, it did not say that we had to park on the street; it simply said that street parking was available. When we arrived, the driveway was empty, so we parked there. Only after calling and speaking with the owner did we understand that guests were expected to park on the street. We also tried to enter through the front/main door, as a guest normally would, but we could not find the keypad. After speaking with the owner, we were told that the entrance was in another location. This information would have been very helpful to receive before arrival. Without being able to contact the owner, we likely would not have found the entrance easily. The stay itself was not ruined, but it was definitely affected by a few issues. There was an unpleasant smell in the basement that stayed during our entire 2-night stay, even after opening the windows. It may have been from food, the basement, or the carpet. Some kind of air freshener or better ventilation would help. The bed looked clean, but we found three long black hairs on the sheets, which made us unsure whether the bedding had been properly cleaned before our arrival. In the middle of the night, around 2:00 a.m., one of us felt cold in the room. We realized that we could not turn up the heat ourselves because guests do not have direct control of the temperature. The instructions said that we had to contact the owner if we wanted the temperature to be turned up or lowered. Since it was very late, we did not contact the owner and left it as it was. However, it was not very comfortable knowing that we did not have full control of the temperature and would need to ask someone to adjust it, especially when paying for a stay. The dining table had only 2 chairs. The sofa bed was uncomfortable because one side had a metal structure, making it difficult to sleep on.

Very private, clean, and well kept. Quiet, relaxing, and everything you needed was there. Would definitely go back without question.
