Fabulous lakeside maisonette with glass balcony and spectacular lake view! South facing sunny property, heated travertine floor, large balcony, terrace, barbecue and a lake right at your doorstep. Come and enjoy The Glass House, situated just a few meters away from lake Lugano. At The Glass House you can truly take in the view, relax and experience Switzerland in all its beauty.
The property is located on a quiet street in front of Lake Lugano and includes a maisonette house with terrace, a balcony and a private parking space. On the ground floor there is one bedroom, a bathroom with shower and a private terrace with barbecue. On the first floor you will find an open space kitchen/dining room and a large balcony overlooking the terrace.
The property has a modern look, which combined with the location provides a relaxing atmosphere for anyone wishing to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The area around Caslano is disseminated with panoramic paths between lake and mountains and the village is full of charming churches and ancient buildings.
A short walk away from the house you will find the renowned trail around Monte Caslano, a pleasant walk on the shores of Lake Lugano characterised by a truly fascinating natural scenery.
The Sassalto mountain dominates the village and it is a natural environment, protected by the Swiss Confederation on account of its interesting geological, faunal and botanical characteristic.
Museum goers may visit the Fishing Museum, one of three in Switzerland, a camera exhibition of the Vincenzo Viccari Foundation and the Chocolate Museum, that gourmands of all ages will absolutely love.
Sports lovers will also be pleased: in fact in Caslano and its surrounding area all kinds of sports may be practised; from tennis to golf, from horse-riding to swimming, from sailing to windsurf.
In general Ticino is known for its natural beauty, its lakes, hiking trails, the Merlot wine produced in the south and the many cultural heritage sites spread across the region.

The home was very clean and quiet as it is situated at the end of the street. The view across the water to Italy is lovely. It is a short drive or walk into the adorable old town. We really enjoyed the hot tub too…even in the rain!
