About this house rental
Nestled amongst mature gardens and overlooking Lake Groléjac, this beautiful, traditional country house has been lovingly and sympathetically restored. With renovations completed last year, La Lavandula sits in it’s own established grounds with a large private swimming pool, pétanque court and children’s play area.
Groléjac swimming and fishing lake with it’s beautiful beach is a 2 minute walk away. A cycle path at the rear of the property will take you straight through to Sarlat and beyond.
The space
A traditional stone detached country house set in it’s own grounds. The property comprises of a very large area, TV, dining table and chairs and antique furniture. The lounge leads to a balcony that overlooks the lake ( a clear view in winter and spring).
Double doors to a hallway lead to a shared bathroom and four bedrooms ( one bedroom with en suite). Downstairs to hallway with small utility and very large open plan kitchen diner with large dining table that seats 10. There are 5 sets of French windows that lead to separate patios, allowing you to enjoy the sunshine at various times of the day. The south facing garden consists of a very large swimming pool with diving board. There are parasols and eight comfortable sun loungers with cushions to enjoy. A separate sofa area is positioned to enjoy the evening sun and a large dining table with benches is positioned under cover to enable you to eat comfortably, away from the hot summer sun. At the rear of the house is a pétanque court with a BBQ and a children’s play area is positioned in the garden within viewing distance of the pool.
The property is private and gated and allows parking for up to 4 cars.

Guests can access the entire space. The owners live off site.
Other things to note
The house is a pet free and smoke free home. We would appreciate smokers to smoke outdoors and there is a strict no per policy. As we live in a rural area, we have a 4G router. Connection can on occasion dip and sonetimes disapper but is usually only a temporary measure.
We encourage you to come and enjoy this beautiful area. However, it is a peaceful (but not isolated) location and would ask you to refrain from parties and to kindly respect our neighbours. Our property is registered with Dordogne Perigord Tourism France.

We had such a fantastic holiday at this lovely house. Its set in stunning grounds with a large swimming pool and plenty of outside space. The house is so well equipped and finished to a high standard. We've holidayed in the Dordogne for many years, and this is by far the best property we have found.
Would recommend to anyone.

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful place, we had a wonderful week staying there.
The villa is beautiful in & outside especially with all the exclusive decoration and furniture.
A huge kitchen, well equipped, is fantastic for cooking sessions. The pool (which is large) and the terrace area invite for relaxing hours.
It was hard to leave this place, but the surroundings were also worth a visit. Sarlat, Domme and beautiful castles and gardens are really close.
Moira was so kind and responded really quickly, the whole process of checking in and out was really easy. Thank you so much again, we would love to come back.
