Very nice manga hotel. Kind of convenient. Short walk to station only.

One of the highlights of this hotel is that it offers free breakfast and dinner, both serving the same menu of curry rice. There’s also a drinks station, although it’s fairly basic, with just two dispensers: one for coffee and tea, and another for water and soft drinks. The entrance is bright and modern, and the biggest selling point for manga lovers is the huge collection of manga that guests can borrow during their stay! The hotel itself feels a little dated, though. The rooms still use physical keys rather than key cards, and you have to insert the key fob into a slot to activate the electricity in your room. The bathrobe provided was also quite small and looked a little old. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by the room size. As a solo traveller with a giant suitcase, I could leave my luggage fully open and still have enough space to walk around and sit down while packing. This was a huge plus! The location is another advantage. The hotel is situated on the quieter side of the train station, away from the busier side facing Kokura Castle, so the surroundings felt more peaceful while still being very convenient for transport. One thing to note is that housekeeping seems to start very early. Thankfully, I put the Do Not Disturb sign outside my door, as staff appeared to be making their rounds as early as around 9 a.m. The hotel also has practical amenities such as microwaves, ice machines, and vending machines on designated floors. Daily towel changes are available, while full room cleaning is only on the 4th night (5th day). Overall, it’s a practical choice for travellers who value a spacious room, convenient transport access, and complimentary meals over modern room fittings. The free curry meals and manga library are nice bonuses, too!

The twin room is small even by Japanese standard. It’s a twin room and I struggled to fine space for one suitcase let alone 2. The room wasn’t clean. There was clear stain on the desk, which suggested they only did the very basic change of sheets and vacuuming

The place is very small. Its a bit far away from sakuramachi bus terminal and station. According to the price it wasn’t what i expected. i have seen better hotels. i would give it a B Tier.
