Ker Roz

This apartment is spacious and beautifully furnished in traditional Moroccan style and has a great balcony space with a view of the sea. The beds are comfortable and there's a lovely view from the sofa. There are good places to eat within walking distance and we found it to be a good location in Tamraght. Said very kindly kept our parking space reserved for us.

Just be aware the apartment is on the third floor and is at the top of a hill and the road to get there isn't paved and there are lots of pot holes. It overlooks some scrubland and a busy road which lies between it and the beach. You can scrabble down the hill and walk down to the beach quite easily, maybe 15-20 mins walk. Traffic noise can be heard quite loudly and lots of barking from dogs at night. We got used to this within a few days and it wasn't too much of a problem. We drove and found it ok, but you do need strong nerves for the junctions and roundabouts. The only real problem for us was the curtains in the front room are very light and so a lot of light came through at night which made it hard for me to sleep - I am quite sensitive though. Oh and there was one toilet and two showers. The showers were always hot and powerful.

Stunning views and sunsets. Very well maintained entrance and staircase. Spacious apartment with lovely tiling, interesting doors and ceiling in living room. Fabulous master bedroom with amazing outlook to the bay, curved window, beautifully decorated ceiling and dome, effective AC heating and the most comfortable bed. Recently renovated ensuite shower room with washing machine. Lovely big terrace with furniture and plants. Lots of great places to eat nearby particularly Tonirt and Manouché. For things to do the beach is only about a 15 minute walk away and check out Mellow Massage for a wonderful Hammam/Massage and Nafas Coffee Shop for a fun Cooking Lesson with Fatimazahra.

Pedestrian access to apartment very difficult particularly with a suitcase. There are also many steps once inside to gain access. Very brief key handover. Only one toilet located between the two bedrooms. Not enough toilet paper. No body wash. No hairdryer that we could find. Beware of the plants on the terrace which I am sure look beautiful in summer but are very scratchy at this time of year. Open plan living/diner/kitchen dark and cold in the evening as there is no AC / heating. We did not use the second bedroom but noticed it was quite musty and had no AC / heating. Perhaps the owner might consider adding heating to the rest of the apartment, a lamp in the living room, a full length mirror in the bedroom and switching the bed to the wall opposite the curved window to maximise those beautiful views!
