Loutra bay is wonderful & the apartment looks nicely onto the water
Things to be aware of: Construction nearby (after 9pm at night), plenty mosquitoes coming through the drains, communication with host inconsistent. Supplies to maintain cleanliness lacking.

Loutra is probably the nicest place to stay in Kythnos. The room was nice and conveniently located although no view. Parking was available just outside the door. Accepting pets. Everything seemed new.
We never met our host during our stay. The house had two entrances, but we only received a key for one. The other entrance was not only without a key but left unlocked, which felt unsafe. The shower tap was broken and required awkward tricks to use. Over the five days we stayed, there was no cleaning service or staff attendance at all. The property has no view, and while it’s a nice place, it’s certainly not worth the €400 per night we paid.
