Casa Olhão Terraço: espaço, conforto e terraço com churrasqueira

We spent a month at this three-bedroom apartment in Olhão and found it to be a mix of positives and drawbacks. On the plus side, the apartment was very spacious, nicely decorated, and had an outdoor terrace. Its location was convenient, being close to both the bus and train stations. Plenty of towels and clean sheets were provided, which was much appreciated.

However, the busy street outside made for a very noisy environment throughout the day, and we noticed a strange smell that would come and go during our entire stay. While we didn’t expect perfection with respect to the kitchen pots, pans and cooking gear, many of the cooking utensils were in poor condition, with very dull knives, broken items and chipped coffee mugs. Thankfully, we had one sharp knife and a few decent pans that worked for daily cooking. One of the four provided plug-in heaters (the heat source for the entire apartment) was broken, and the circuit breaker would trip if too many things were in use at once. While the apartment has a lot of potential, some updates—particularly to the kitchen supplies—would greatly improve the experience. The property manager was hit or miss in terms of responsiveness.
