The biggest advantage of Road Lodge Germiston is its location. If you're flying in or out of Rand Airport, it's extremely convenient and only a few minutes away. The hotel also offers excellent value for money, making it a good choice for travellers looking for affordable, no-frills accommodation. The rooms, while compact, are clean and equipped with the essentials, including air conditioning, making for a comfortable overnight stay.

This is a very basic budget hotel, so don't expect spacious rooms or many amenities. The rooms and bathrooms are quite small, and the breakfast selection is limited, with only a small dining area available. Because the hotel is close to a main road and has a high turnover of guests, it can be quite noisy, with traffic and doors opening and closing throughout the day and night. The staff were functional but not particularly warm or welcoming, and while the beds were acceptable, the very soft pillows weren't especially comfortable.
