I enjoyed my stay where I sat out on the deck and relaxed. The hosts checked to make sure I had everything I needed. Hope to return again.

Carol and Joe are so attentive and communicative. You can tell they truly love sharing their home with you. The deck out front overlooking the river is the perfect place to hang out and visit. We also enjoyed having a campfire in the back. It was all set up and easy to get going. The home was clean and the kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, glasses, etc., even coffee. We stayed during a cicada event. It was fun watching all the bird action. If we ever return to Peoria, we will definitely stay here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is clean, comfortable, peaceful and well equipped.
The fact that they accept pets made it easier for our siblings reunion, as one of us has a small dog.
The location is perfect to view the Sun rising over the Illinois River every morning. Beautiful!

Our group of 5 ladies had a great time at this lovely cottage. The sunrises were breathtaking and we also enjoyed watching the barges and boats passing by. Joe & Carol were very accommodating in answering our questions while planning our trip. They provided an extra table that we could eat at comfortably and also play games. We love to have a puzzle going on, so they provided a large board which worked perfectly in the living room. We enjoyed the beautiful view, sitting on the deck and patio, and having a campfire. The home was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cookware, etc. As mentioned by others the driveway and pulling out on the busy road was intimidating however our pickup truck and driver handled it well. We arrived in the daylight which was a plus to see how the driveway was laid out. The cottage was in a great location to the places that we visited. Thank you Joe & Carol for being wonderful Hosts and for all the memories we will have from this trip!
