Fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and had plenty of room for our family get together. We were able to check out the lake even though the dock wasn't in. We sat on the deck overlooking the lake and enjoyed the unreasonably warm weather. We got to enjoy some of the local parks and restaurants before they got too busy for the summer. The bakery in town was a big hit! Our hosts were wonderful and shared lots of information with us before we got there. We were greeted by the family goat, Jeremy. There was so much to do in the cabin that we didn't get to do because we were outside the whole weekend! We truly enjoyed our weekend!

This was our groups 2nd stay here and we had a great time again. The house is always stocked with all the things we need, the property is beautiful, I can't even count the hours the kids spent on the lake. Screen porch was perfect for adults to play games. More beds then we could ever need. We are already in the process of booking for next year.

A group of ladies from my book club stayed at this lake house for a long weekend in April and it was PERFECT. The property is set back from the road and has tons of room for parking. It's very close to the lake and has beautiful, serene views of the lake throughout. It was still a little chilly when we were there in early April, so we did not go out on the lake ourselves, but there were some boats out there already!
One thing I loved about the home immediately was that it felt comfy and homey. So often now when I go to a rental it's really sterile. I loved that this felt like a home and had the amenities of a home, including a large gaming cabinet. It's thoughtfully set up with comfortable seating to accommodate a lot of people having conversations, or reading while overlooking the lake. There is also a ton of seating for sit-down dining! The kitchen is very well-appointed and has everything you'll need.
The bedrooms are similarly thoughtfully arranged to allow families to be together with bunk and trundle beds. The mattresses are new and VERY comfortable. There was ample bedding and pillows.
The property is an easy drive to town and it's worth checking out. We were impressed by the quality of shops and unique offerings that we hadn't seen elsewhere! We all loved the plant shop (fantastic!), spirits shop, and bookstore in particular. There's a friendly brewery in town as well.
Overall, I would highly recommend this property. It was a really fantastic setting for relaxation, bonding, and laughter during gorgeous spring days!

Loved staying here! The kitchen is well stocked with supplies, the bedrooms are thoughtfully furnished and comfortable, and the quiet lake was the perfect backdrop for each moment spent at Valerie’s Lake home! We had ample space in the house for our guests to have privacy as well as together time sharing food and games. We visited downtown Spooner on two of four days for shops and dining out, and I was surprised to find such great options that I just kept wanting to go back! Nearby hiking trails were unique and very enjoyable. Overall, would really recommend staying here if you’re looking for a home away from home.
