- Turtle Nesting Season runs from May 1st through October 31st. As sea turtles are protected, close monitoring is performed by a volunteer turtle patrol. Beaches are patrolled regularly and fines are set forth for outdoor and indoor lights. Curtains should be drawn at night if the lights are on. Fill any holes on the beach and knock down sand castles, as these create obstacles for the mother turtles and hatchlings. The beach should be clear of beach chairs and debris. Turtles will confuse plastic bags and balloons for food like jellyfish

There is no better location. Right on beach with multiple areas in and around the house to enjoy the view. Our host was very responsive and very helpful with our initial questions about the location. The decor is eclectic and the kitchens and furnishings top notch. I will definitely rent again.

Exceptional value, outstanding views. Great location on a private beach. Close to amenities, restaurants, shopping if you want to leave the beach.
Convenience of two kitchens an indoor cold plunge pool and beautiful sunsets.
Not your every day, decor, funky, and eclectic. Knowing this house survived the hurricanes last year, it was a pleasure to stay in.
Owner and manager very responsive and excellent communication!

It was mostly fine. House is more than a little funky. Great location, but the house layout makes you go hmmm several times. The most obvious is the internal stairway that forces you to walk through the upstairs bedroom to get to any other room on the top floor. Then, there's the downstairs sink, shower, and toilet all separated by a walk through hallway to the two lower level bedrooms. Finally, the two kitchens seem completely redundant. Outdoor fire ring was enjoyable as was the outdoor shower grotto. I wouldn't pay half the cost for this house if it was in any other location. Being right on the beach has to be at the top of your list of amenities for this property to be considered. Just to be fair, we used this property as three couples. The funky layout of the house would be much less of an issue for a single family with a couple of kids.

Pictures just can’t do justice to this beautiful eclectic home!
Every picture, every piece of artwork, every table, every light - all create a feast for the eyes!
Upstairs includes a wonderful sitting area to watch the ocean especially at sunset. Floor to ceiling windows. This is where we spent the majority of our time. The spacious master bath is upstairs (however we preferred the king bed downstairs). The kitchen worked just fine for us upstairs but the nicer kitchen is downstairs. There were only two of us but plenty of room for 6 adults.
Outside is a tropical garden. It has the most beautiful tropical landscaping and everything was well maintained. The deck has nice furniture and a perfect view.
We also enjoyed the outside bath and shower. It is just steps to the beach. Beach chairs are provided. We also had a lot of fun finding sharks teeth on the beach!
Location is a great area. It is in a gated community with many beautiful homes. The city of Englewood is near Manasota Key with everything you might need. The beach at the house is great but we also wandered down to road to other beaches and restaurants on the beach.
Our contact person was Lora and she very quickly answered every question we had. She was so accommodating to let us check out a little later. We appreciated having her as our contact.
The biggest problem with the house and the only reason I can’t give it 5++ stars is the pool. It was dirty on our arrival although Lora offered to come clean it. But the temperature of the pool stayed at 65-68 degrees. There was no way we could use it. There is a strong chlorine smell downstairs (understandable) and the pool comes on for circulation ever so often even in the night (understandable) but these are not as easy to appreciate when we couldn’t use the pool. The sign on the refrigerator says it is heated to 85 degrees so it could be heated and would make it much more pleasurable for guests.
Would we come back? Yes!
