We had a great time as a family of five. It was easy to catch the buses to the slopes; the stop is right across the street. It is super close to Safeway; and has all the items we needed to make breakfast and dinner in the apartment. We were able to enjoy the hot tubs every night, and it was easy to view them from the apartment to know they were open for us. The fireplace was warm and cozy. The sheets and towels were the best we have had at a rental apartment in a while. There were plenty of towels and sheets. The beds were comfortable. It was super nice having laundry in the apartment. The cleaning team does a good job, we didn’t see any spots that needed cleaning—a lot of times we see under the beds or behind furniture is skipped, not here. We would definitely stay here again, but we tend to try different ski locations.
Only negatives—the people above us walked very loudly and late into the evening. Making it hard for the older people in our group to sleep (kids didn’t have a problem). There is a kitchen table with chairs, but you have to pull it out and expand it and the weaving in the folding chairs was broken. We ended up sitting on the kitchen counter stools and standing around the counter. It was fine for the short time we were there.

We loved this little cabin-like stay in Breakaway West. We came with our three daughters - 12, 14, and 16 and couldn’t have been happier with the full view of the pool and hot tub. We could give them a head start to swim and still keep an eye on them. There was plenty of parking. The door code was promptly given and very easy to follow to get in.
The condo is nicely stocked with everything you’d need including a great bottle of wine, washer-dryer combo and cooler, pool towels and even a pool noodle. They had adequate little things to get you started too that were much appreciated - laundry detergent, paper towels, dishwasher pods, a little coffee, ice packs and plenty of toilet paper.
The decor is great - the center wood beam and framed doors give it a real “cabin” feel, along with a beautiful bear or buffalo hide (not sure which) hanging above the comfy couch. The Tom Petty pillows were an awesome stylish touch. You can see the ski lifts and Vail trails from the same windows you can see the pool from. It’s super close to Lion’s Head village - you can walk to a pedestrian overpass and it’s a short drive to the middle of Vail Village. We appreciated the free day parking at Lion’s Head and Village too!
We would definitely stay here again and Linda couldn’t have been nicer with questions about checkout. Thank you to the owners for sharing this gem with us too!

Great location, child-friendly, very well furnished, clean and comfortable. This condo worked out very well for my son with his wife and two children (aged three and one year), while enjoying a wedding weekend for our daughter and her husband. Convenient parking in garage and lot by entrance. Very good kitchen and comfortable sitting areas, well maintained property.

This condo has everything you need for your stay! It's in a great location with a beautiful view of the mountain. The humidifiers provided were great and we used them at night as we came from sea level. Kitchen was fully stocked and towels/cooler were provided for use at the pool/hot tub.
We loved this condo and can't wait to book again for ski season!
