We love this rental! Everything's brand new and updated, with fabulous style but still comfy, warm and inviting. Amazing view of the lake, both from inside the great room, and from the big sunny deck. We stayed for four nights with two families (each with two daughters) and it was perfect. There was plenty of space for everyone. The big long table was home to lots of games, craft projects, conversation and meals all together. The kitchen has everything you need. Beds are super comfortable. Easy drive to Alpine, Squaw and Northstar for skiing. Lots of restaurants close by in Tahoe City. We'll definitely stay here again and again.

This place is past its heyday. Looks great in the pics but the house is not in the shape the pics would have you believe (as other recent reviews have mentioned). Layer on things like 10am check out, 1-ply toilet paper, dead bugs all over the window screens and no soap or shampoo...this just isn't the spot for a great family vacation.
Some things in the listing and renters manual are incorrect. There's no keyless entry or cable TV upstairs. That's fine, just be honest.
The laundry room is a microcosm of this house. The washer sounds like an earthquake and shakes so much it moved about 6 inches every time we ran it. The dryer seemed to leak heat to the point where it got so hot in the laundry room that water was dripping from the ceiling like a sauna.
We stayed in August and it was hot. No AC is very clearly listed and that's fair. How about investing in more than one fan for a place that sleeps 10+? One janky fan in this whole place.
The view from the deck is stunning and the downstairs cable is great. Gotta say something positive!
