The view from this home is wonderful. It is peaceful and quiet. The home offers plenty of space and the kitchen is well-stocked. Loved the screened in porch!

Our group was three in-law couples enjoying four days of togetherness and quiet. The screened-in porch was by far our favorite place to hang out. There was plenty of seating for us all as we had decided to bring extra chairs based on a previous review.
We cooked most of our meals inside or on the grill. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed from dishes to bakeware to oven mitts and towels.
We had family staying in the area so they were invited over for meals and planning of our next gathering.
As other reviewers mentioned, one of the highlights of this house is the barges passing by. We all enjoyed being outside watching them, often from the chairs at the fire pit or in the hammock.
Communication with the property manager was excellent and prompt, with all questions answered.
I guess our only issue is that the couple who slept in the twin bed room didn’t get much sleep because the springs in both beds are quite noisy…even from just sitting on the beds. This might be something that needs looking into.
Other than that, we loved this house and absolutely would like to stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend on Lake Barkley. The house was clean and spacious, and fairly close to a grocery store and Dollar General. We cooked almost all of our meals in the kitchen or on the gas grill, and there was plenty of pots/pans, utensils, etc. The screened porch, back deck, and chairs along the lakeside gave us plenty of options for outdoor meals/relaxation. We had four adults and no children in our group - I would recommend bringing additional chairs with anymore people than that. We rented a pontoon for a full day one day - be aware that the two closest marinas for rentals were 20min and 40min away, and there is no dock at the house to pull up to. While the house is lakeside, it would be a tough, rocky walk for small children or older adults, and there is no easy way to get into the water by the house. We did go to a public beach one day at Land Between the Lakes park, but it was very crowded with lots of children/families. Overall, a great trip and we would definitely stay here again!

I stayed here for four days with my girlfriend and her parents. This house didn't look like much from the front, but once inside, it was spacious, clean, and very homey. The fire place in the living room was a great luxury, but my favorite part of this house was the screened it back porch. The view of Lake Barkely and the Land Between the Lakes was absolutly breathtaking. All the appliances were modern and in working order from the coffee maker to the microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer etc. I ABSOLUTLEY plan to stay here again in the near future. Can't beat the price or the view. Wish I could have stayed longer.
