A beautiful home that was decorated quite tastefully. However, the dishwasher not only was broken but was loaded with dirty dishes that had been there for quite some time. The refrigerator, although empty, was in dire need of a thorough wipe down inside and outside. The countertops also needed to be wiped down. When the host was notified of the dirty kitchen on day one, no one was sent to attend to the kitchen at all.
The internet was unstable and buffered every 5 mins rendering it impossible to enjoy any football game. The host initially advised the guest to remove the router from the master bedroom and plug it into the living room television. The guest quickly declined. When the host finally showed up at 830p on the second night, he spent 2.5 hours addressing the router that should have been easily moved from one place to another.
Finally, the host was notified that there was only 1 dull steak knife in the entire kitchen. The host did not believe it and began to frantically search for additional knives. He also found none, not even a dirty one in the broken dishwasher. His only response was, "they got me".
When we used the linen in the hall closet, the folded linen had a sour smell like it was left in the washer too long before it was dried.
The most disappointing part of the entire stay was that not only did the host NOT bring additional knives or a butcher block on our third day of stay, but there was nothing offered in return for the two days of buffering internet, dirty kitchen (countertops and refrigerator), fully loaded dirty dishwasher (complete with molded food stuck to everything) and lack of cutlery.
But again, the place was decorated beautifully and the bed mattress was soft.
